What We Do

At Canna~Wise Alternative Medicine, we specialize in the medical cannabis program. We offer personal and confidential cannabis education, initial certification and renewals, close patient follow-up, and compliance guidance for patients. Contact us anytime to schedule an appointment to learn how cannabis medicine can benefit you.

Refer-A-Friend Program

Refer a friend (or a few) to our business and get $10 off your next visit! We will make note of this in your patient account and deduct the sum of those referrals from next year’s visit. Next year, you could potentially receive your certification for free, just by spreading the word about us to your friends and family!

If you didn’t get any referral cards here in our office, make sure to print off the coupon sheet here and hand them out to any of your friends to help lower your recertification payment for next year!

Process for In-Office Certification

  • Step 1: Schedule appointment time by phone, or book through our website.
  • Please bring:
    • - MA ID/Driver’s License OR US Passport OR US Military ID with proof of MA residency
    • - Medical Records, Medication Lists, or other documentation of qualifying conditions
  • Step 2: Medical cannabis education session
  • Step 3: Provider consult & certification
  • Step 4: Submission of practitioner’s certification to MassCIPortal and registration assistance. If you’d like help with registration, please bring one of these proofs of residency.
  • Step 5: Reap the benefits of being a part of the medical cannabis program!

Process for Telephonic Certification

  • Step 1: Contact us via telephone or email and we will put you in our system.
  • Step 2: You will receive an email with paperwork to fill out and a place to submit your credit or debit card information. This can also be done over the phone if you’re more comfortable with that.
  • Step 3: After that paperwork is finished, you can upload a picture of your MA ID/Driver’s License or your US Passport or US Military ID with a proof of residency to your account. If you have any issues, those photos can be emailed to us at: info@cananwisemed.org.
  • Step 4: We will call you after we receive all these pieces of information for a patient consultation. This is done with a patient advocate who will go over any changes in laws and will answer any questions you may have had over the past year.
  • Step 5: You will then speak to our certifying practitioner for their consultation.
  • Step 6: If the practitioner signs off on your certification, you will then talk to another staff member who will enter in the certification to MassCIP.
  • Step 7: If you would like help with renewing your registration to the state, we can still help you over the phone. You may need to send us additional photos for proof of residency.
  • Step 8: Reap the benefits of being a part of the medical cannabis program!
